Our Traveling Trunk Show takes The Museum to schools and civic groups as part of our educational outreach. This program is supported by the Fund for Greene County and the East Tennessee Foundation. We thank them for their support.

The Greeneville Greene County History Museum is one of only seven museums in America to complete the gold/top tier certification in all six areas of operation with the American Association of State and Local History.

In addition to having 7,000 to 10,000 visitors annually, The Museum is also part of local organized tourism efforts which draw visitors from afar as well as serve the regional community.

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated as are monetary donations that support numerous fundraising initiatives and educational activities. The Museum is a 501C3 organization, meaning monetary contributions are normally tax deductible. Please consult your tax professional for specifics. Though grants that help with development of new galleries and programs are occasionally received, major funding comes from membership fees and donations. Your support is not only greatly appreciated, is it vital to The Museum's mission!

Memorial Contribution Plaque
