
Visiting the Museum
The Greeneville Greene County History Museum is located in the heart of downtown Greeneville. Just off West Main Street, the museum is blocks away from the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site, the City Garage Car Museum, and the General Morgan Inn.

Directions
From Interstate 81:

Exit at # 23, the Greeneville/Bulls Gap exit.

Turn northeast onto Highway 11E toward Greeneville and proceed approximately 12 miles.

Exit at the first business exit in Greeneville (Summer Street).

Proceed through three traffic lights and turn right onto South Main Street.

Proceed to traffic light # 6 and turn right onto West McKee Street.

Turn left into the the museum parking lot at the sign.
From southwest on Highway 11E:

Turn left onto North Main Street at the Main Street/Highway 93 intersection.

Proceed on North Main Street until you get to traffic light # 6 on South Main Street.

Turn right at traffic light # 6 onto West McKee Street.

Turn left into the the museum parking lot at the sign.

Yes! The Greeneville Greene County Museum is free and open to all visitors.
The museum is open 11am until 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Yes! All three levels of the museum are accessible using our stair lifts. Wheelchairs are available upon request.
The museum covers three floors. We recommend an hour to see all the exhibitions.
