Mathes-Arnott Letter Collection

A collection of 70+ personal letters between Cpl. Bobby G Mathes, stationed in Germany, and Shirley Arnott of Mohawk, TN, between the years of September 1953 and Feburary 1955. 

These letters were brought in by Mr. Stephen Street when a church friend of his mentioned the letters were going to be thrown out by surviving family members of one of the authors. Street works in archives in Hamblin County, and suggested that the letters be brought to the correct county where they will be preserved. Donated in the name of the authors.
